If the hygiene seal has been opened or damaged , we cannot accept the return of the jewelry.

There are two important reasons for this:

• Hygiene & Safety:
  
  Jewelry comes into direct contact with the skin and can cause minor micro-injuries to the earlobes. An opened item is automatically considered used and, for hygienic reasons, must not be passed on.

• Jewelry cannot be cleaned:
  
  A "cleaning" would damage the sensitive surface:
  The e-coat protective layer can peel off.
  Gold plating can be damaged by cleaning agents.
  Enamel and paints could develop dull spots.
  
  Furthermore, it would be a significant economic expense to hygienically treat, dry, and repackage jewelry after opening it – without any guarantee that it would still be saleable afterwards.
